Ellecia Saffron

Founder & Managing Director of Maysaffron

Ellecia is an international business and investment professional with ~15 years experience in institutional equities research and investments. Prior to founding Maysaffron, Ellecia was a portfolio manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority managing Australian, Global Materials, and Asian company equity portfolios. Before this, she was an equity research analyst in the number 1 rated ‘consumer sector’ equity research team at Macquarie Bank Australia.

Ellecia is the Co-Founder and Chairperson of the Australian Business Group Middle East Association, and has served 9 years on the board and 5 years as the Chairperson of the non-profit Australian Business Group Abu Dhabi. She is the Vice Chair of the Middle East Advisory Committee for the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Middle East Committee of 100 Women in Finance, and has served on the US-based board Alignment of Interests Org. In 2018 Ellecia was one of 100 recipients of an award issued by the UAE government in honour of the late Sheikh Zayed in the ‘Year of Zayed’ for contributions to UAE society.

She has a BA in Business from The University of Technology Sydney, an MBA from The University of Wales, United Kingdom and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
