Ellecia Saffron

Managing Director & Founder

Ellecia advises firms and funds globally to connect with the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Maysaffron, which she founded in 2015 is the solution for institutions wanting to connect intelligently and effectively with the Middle East & Asia Pacific. Maysaffron have raised >$1,200m in capital, advised on more than $35bn in transactions and currently advise groups with assets totalling more than $18bn AUM.

Formerly a Fund Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Australia, Asia Pacific & Global mandates) and prior to this a Research Analyst at Macquarie Bank, Ellecia is currently advisory board member of the Australian UAE Business Council, Co- Chaired by The Honourable Christopher Pyne and HE Badr Al Olama. She is Deputy Chair of 100 Women in Finance Middle East and Co-Deputy Chair Australian Institute of Company Directors Middle East Committee. She is passionate about community and giving back. In 2018, she was one of 100 recipients in the UAE of an award in honour of the Founder of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed, for contributions to the business community.

David Scott

Director & Deal Partner Investments

David Scott is a Director and Deal Partner at Maysaffron. He is also the founder and president of InvestDG, a boutique strategy consultancy, as well as an advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority in the areas of economic and energy affairs. He previously served as Director of North African and Arabian Peninsula Affairs at the National Security Council, as well as a US Foreign Service Officer and non-commissioned officer in the US Army. Mr. Scott’s public and private service represent more than 30 years of direct experience in the Middle East region.

Mr. Scott also serves as an advisor to General Atomics, Lloyd’s Registry, and Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs. He Chairs UAE-based agtech firm, Pure Harvest, and UK-based, InfraSalience. He also serves on the boards of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and TerraPower, the nuclear technology company launched by Bill Gates. 

Christopher Fazekas

Director & Deal Partner Investments

Chris Fazekas is a Director and Deal Partner at Maysaffron. Chris also currently serves as the Head of Strategic Finance for Verishop, the Head of Business Development for Proem Technologies and is the Founder of The Trent Hall Company, a private investment office and advisory firm.

Chris has 20 years experience specialising in Investment and Asset Management, Capital Formation and Mergers and Acquisitions in New York, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi as a board member, investment committee member, investor and operator of some of the world's largest and most prominent companies.

Previously, Chris served as a member of the investment committee, board member, member of the leadership team, and general counsel at Mubadala Capital, a division of Mubadala Investment Company. Chris began his career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
